What kind of sound card would I need to obtain an extraction of digital PCM audio from a laserdisc, from the players digital optical out?

Is it any soundcard with a digital input, e.g. this one, or is there something else I need to look for?

Is there a difference between "bit accurate" or a digital-to-digital capture?
