I'm looking for a pair of headphones less than $100 US that I can listen at higher volumes without people around me hearing what I'm listen to. Any recommendations ?

There are many closed headphones out there, and the list is too long. I own a pair of Sennheiser HD280s, which isolate quite well, sound decent, but may not be comfortable for you, depending on the shape and size of your head. They're also not very suitable for use with a portable because of their bulkiness.

They are just under 100$. Sealed, and supposed to sound pretty good. They are new stuff from Sennheiser, but I would except that they sound pretty good for 100$ as well as being comfortable. Also has a nice coiled cord that plugs into only one ear, makes listening to a portable and doing things so much easier
