I've noticed that when I embed a cuesheet with Foobar2000, that it works rather quickly. I then run Replaygain analysis, and the analysis goes quickly. But. when I go to save that, it seems like it has to re-write the file.
I'm just curious if the default padding of 4096 is enough for embedded cuesheets. The cuesheets are less than 2k on my hard drive.
It's no big deal, I was just curious if anyone knew or had a similar experience. I suppose I could try some experiments to see if increasing the padding makes a difference.

I've had that happen here. Most of the time 4k is enough to store cuesheet, but I found that occasionally I'd run into the file-rewriting problem you mentioned. It happened to me if I was using fb2k 0.9 and embedding EAC logfiles (whoever's idea was it to write a separate copy of the logfile for each track ought to be shot).
I just switched to using 8k padding on all my FLAC files instead of the default 4k. Works like a charm.

I did the same thing. I started using -P 8192. That seems to work much better.
