Full Version: Suggestion-Play file w/o playlist via cmd line

Sometimes you just want to play the file in windows explorer, not add it to your playlist / collection.

I think there should be a feature (perhaps a new command line arguement) where foobar will load the file and play it without adding it to the playlist.

This way I can remove windows media player and use foobar to preview tunes i double click in explorer.

With foo_utils installed, try running
CODE
foobar2000.exe /context_command:"Play" <path>

If you want that as double-click action, replace <path> with "%1" and add the full path to foobar2000.exe (in Explorer file type options).

The command will fail silently (i.e. do nothing), if the file you pass contains multiple tracks.
