I have iRiver SlimX iMP-350 with firmware v2.80 (EU) and I'd like to make some improvement. Remote control displays max 60 characters in the file name or in ID3 tags. It will be better for me if it could display more characters (the longest mp3 file name that I have has 90 characters so this is optimal number for me ). Can anybody modify firmware so that more characters will be displayed? I know that Russians have created programs for decoding and encoding iRiver firmware. They are on this site: http://mp3-upgrade.narod.ru/etools.htm. Maybe someone has done such a modification or is able to do it. I'm interested also in other modifications that anybody have done.
I have fixed Polish font in this firmware by myself. If anybody is interested I can send my modified firmware by mail.
