Full Version: noob question about title formatting

All of my albums are tagged by using the freedb plugin for foobar. However, there are a few of my albums (in multiple-mp3 format - no cuesheet) for which the cuesheet doesn't exist on freedb. How can I format my titles for these albums so they look like they came from a cuesheet (i.e. artist isn't displayed for all of them)?

If I understand you correctly I guess your options are to find the cuesheet elsewhere, or create one yourself.

I though cuesheet heaven could create a cuesheet for any album found on freedb?

To create your own cuesheet I would suggest either Goldwave (which can work from an MP3 but is shareware) or Wave Repair which is free to use for this purpose (but you will have to create a WAVE copy to work on and then amend the cuesheet to point to your MP3).

Both apps would let you load in the album file, and then place markers where you think the tracks should start. You can then save these markers as a cuesheet. You can then add TITLE and PERFORMER statements to the cuesheet, as you would find at cuesheet heaven, or as EAC creates, using Notepad.
