Other programs using the LAME framework, such as "Audio Hijack" and "Nicecast" from the company Rogue Amoeba are awaiting the finalization of this release so they can incorporate it in their software.

Would you care to even venture a guess as to when the "known issues" might be resolved? Weeks? Months? More than a year?

Inquiring minds want to know....

Is it too difficult to incorporate 3.97b2 into that software? rolleyes.gif

Just let the lame devs do their work. 3.97 will replace (or has already replaced) 3.90.3 as the recommended version of HA.org... i guess just a little more time is needed in order to release a stable and bugfree version eventually.

I can do testing if it's at low enough bitrates so that I can hear wub.gif

It is very difficult to incorporate the latest LAME version into their software, I asked about it and they replied their software is not "open source".

As far as helping goes, I would help you if I had the proper qualifications. I don't think I do.

Rogue Amoeba says they "won't touch LAME as long as the release has an "a" or a "b" after it, they don't consider it stable".
