Hello,
For the holidays I was given a X-Fi Extreme Music sound card.
Hoping to put it in my pc this weekend.
I have noticed, reading some literature, that the sound card comes with recording software.
If that's true, do I still need to buy Acoustica(One of the few programs I can figure out)?
I'm running XP, SP2.
Thanks in advance for any help.

depends on what you wan't to do. I don't know Acoustica, btw.

There are also some good free recording tools out there. I'm especially thinking of Audacity. If you're going to have to learn something new, it might be a better time investment to learn that, since it will always be free (whereas the software with your Creative card may not be free with your next card) and it runs on a lot of computer operating systems.
