Hello,

I am using foobar with lame 3.96.
I was trying decoding with diskwriter with this parameters :

CODE
-V 2  --lowpass 19.5   --athlower 2 - %d

I am not familiar with the syntax for using lame with pipes . I looked for similar settings in the forum and tried to adjust it to my needs. It is working with --lowpass switch and -V but not with --athlower.

Is it impossible to use --athlower with pipes or do i need to write the syntax differently?

Thanks,

Amit.

doesn't --athlower only work with debug-enabled compiles? (alphas only?)

I wasn't aware this option was removed from newer versions. I have just tried an older version and it works.

thank you.

Why not try an alpha instead? You can get one at rarewares, and you'll benefit of modern improvements on LAME (they've been great!)
