I did some searching around the forums, and found a few posts on protected CDs, but nothing concerning Enhanced CD/Blue Book standard (or maybe I need to learn the search function better).
Anyhoo, from reading those other posts, it's my understanding that EAC can't rip data tracks (in ECDs, usually the final track containing videos, etc.). For those of you who use EAC to archive your CDs to a single image, how do you get around this? Or do you simply just select only the audio tracks and leave out the data track in your image? And then just use Windows Explorer to drag & drop the data content into the directory your image is stored in?
It's not really a big deal, the audio is my main focus...but it'd be nice to have an exact duplicate of the entire content of the disc, given that is archiving's whole purpose. If not, I'll be content as long as the music plays crystal clear.

I must admit I get a little confused about the number of terms used to describe a CD with data. However, those few CDs that I have backed up with EAC that have a data track have never been an issue - that is to say EAC just ignores that track/session when ripping to image.
I generally don't bother with the data, but I have previously just copied the files as you suggest.

Ever looked at matroska container for that ? You could attach your data to the MKA file, and using your preferred audio compression format. Even WAVPACK Hybrid tracks can be packed into a single MKA file, so that a lossless 'one-file' version of the CD is on your HDD (our DShow based players can even play it lossless then), and you can extract the lossy track quickly, without reencoding.
