Full Version: Problems burning a CD with EAC from FLAC and CUE

Everytime I load a CUE in EAC for burning to a CD, i get the message "Error in CUE. File type not supported in line ***".

I ripped the CUE in EAC using FLAC. But do i need some kind of plugin to be able to burn FLAC?

Thanks.

I'm not sure if this can be done in EAC. I use Burrrn which is excellent for this purpose!

EAC won't burn FLAC. It will do WAVE and APE - I'm not sure about MP3.

As dakoet says, Burrrn is a good option.

If you are concerned about offsets then you will need to decode to WAVE, edit the cuesheet and then use EAC.

I will look into Burrrn. What is generally considered the best option for burning CD's, particularly with CUE's and good options for gapless burning?

I used to use Feurio, but development seems to have stopped now.

You won't find a better audio writing app than Burrrn, so you don't have to look any further... Burrrn always writes gapless, supports all formats you will ever need, it supports all EAC's cuesheet's, even the embedded ones in WavPack, FLAC and Monkey's Audio images and it has the greatest interface smile.gif Burrrn is trully a work of art and Gambit is the greatest for releasing this jewel to all of us to enjoy for free smile.gif
I have previously only used burnatonce, but recently i have swithced to Burrrn for all my audio writing needs...

Only downside is burrrn does not yet have write offset support. Not a crucial feature for most people, but if you can use, why not?

Well, i don't care about write offset correction because it only means that you can't compare the original against the copy by CRCs and instead needs a wave editor(comparer) if one wants to do that. Also because when burning without write offset correction then the data is only shifted, but nothing is cut, but on the other hand if using write offset correction in EAC without having a Teac 56-600, 56-400 and 58, then the end of the image is cut, unless of course one manually padds the end of the image with silence. Even if the drive used can over-write into the lead-out, then the end is still cut, since EAC only has over-writing into the lead-out enabled for those few Teac drive models i listed earlier(and if using cdrdao in EAC, then over-writing isn't enabled at all)...
