Do I get a good sound if I buy a DVD player to play mp3's on my home stereo? Or is it better to play from the computer with a good soundcard? If it's ok with the first option, could you recommend a good dvd player for mp3's that can do VBR.

Make sure you test it first with some VBR files and also a few --alt-preset insane files.

My player pukes if bitrayes are greater than 192. I don't use it for mp3 though.
