I just bought a Denon DVD-1920 and some Monster RCA cables for the analog 5.1 output to my receiver. My receiver is a Sony STR-DE835. My problem is that every single EQ setting on my receiver is completely disabled when in 5.1 channel input is selected. No matter what settings I use in the DVD setup, DVD-Audio sounds comes out sounding like a clock radio with zero low end. Does Sony expect one to have a complete EQ in the DVD player menu? Is there something I'm missing?
