Full Version: Apple Lossless and foobar

You know, with Apple Lossless, I might just abandon EAC+foobar and just stick with iTunes. Especially if I could get an iTunes batch lame encoder that let me choose which version to use and let me use a command line.

Anyways, in lieu of that, is there a plug-in that lets me play apple lossless in foobar?

I've toyed with the idea of using Apple Lossless and iTunes, but the issue is that I don't want to mix my lossless and lossy files, and I don't want to have to update my iPod manually, but would have to if I had a library that had both lossless and lossy files.

I've heard of a Foobar plugin that references the QuickTime encoder, but I've also heard people complain that it's buggy. I'm sure you'll get a better answer, but that's what I can give you.

My personal method is to maintain my music in FLAC and export via LAME for iTunes/portable use. Keeps my archives seperate.
