Is there any way at all to get LAME mp3 encoding from iTunes Windows?
Also, lets say that you're forced to use the iTunes mp3 encoder. How does it compare to the latest version of LAME? Currently I'm using LAME 3.93 beta 1 the the vbr new v2 switch. What is the iTunes equivalent to that?

for mac there is an applescript. i don't think there's a way to do it on pc.

Poorly.
Yup, iTunes mp3 sucks. Definitely use the VBR AAC encoder if you can.
