I have downloaded Foobar2000, asio.dll (unzipped and put in components) and asio4all. From preferences everything is selectable.

Laptop is a Sony Vaio. Default sound is SOUNDMAX.

When I try to output to my USB device (CHIME DAC that requires 44k) I get nothing. If I choose to output to SOUNDMAX I get sound from the laptop speakers.

I also have tried kernal streaming but when I select the USB device I get an error indicating that information from the device is unaavailable. Again if I choose Soundmax I get music.

Because the DAC is looking for 44kHz I need to bypass the kmixer in Windows XP

Any thoughts
