The problem I have with the lyric show panel is that if there is not a lyric file for a particular song and none can be found thru the search, the panel will play lyrics from another song by the same artist.

Is there a way to force it to not show lyrics in this case?

Thanks.

i.e.:

"On a Bad Day" is playing, there is no available lyric file for that song, so the panel plays the lyrics from 'Pony"

I've had this too and I'm not sure if I can remember if or how I solved it. Try lyric associations > disable associations for any songs it happens with. Also, make sure there isn't actually an incorrectly titled lyric file (I assume you're using files rather than tags?) in a directory that lyric show searches. You could try playing about with the match error level slider but I've no idea what that does.
