i'm sure just about anyone could tell the difference between a 320kbps mp3 and the original if you listen hard enough on a single sample for 3 months straight headbang.gif

if you have the space for lossless, use lossless
if you have the space for mp3 at 320kbps, then by all means, use it, mp3 is far from dead, it gets stronger by the day (thanks to the lame devs of course smile.gif )

and i must disagree with anyone who thinks vorbis performs similar to mp3 dry.gif
