I am looking for a program that allows the setting of the copyright flag in mp3 files. I did search the forums and I only found one outdated link to a program called setmpflag. If anyone knows a current place to get this or has another program that will do the job it would be much appreciated.

Circumventing Copyright's method's are non-discussable.

LOL!!!! X·DDDDD that copyright flag has nothing to do with circumventing copyright methods. It's like the "copyright" flag on Audio CD's.. it serves nothing, it's just a flag. (More even when it's on by default).

It's strange.. i remember a program that allowed changing/reconstructing the header, but it's not vbrfix, nor mp3utility, nor mp3tag... :?

the copyright flag is not part of the VBR (Lame) header, but rather a bit in every single MPEG frame in the file.

I'd guess he wants to set it. Removing it would be pointless (since it doesn't actually do anything other then inform people that its a copyrighted frame).

copyright, original, emphasis <- all flags... don't do much, just informative
I don't know how to change these after the file is encoded either .. I wouldn't mind having a way to do it though, as pointless as it may be.
