Full Version: 5.1 channel formats, and using Creative DTS-610

HI,
I have several questions regarding multichannel encoding/decoding with the use of the Creative DTS-610. I have a soundblaster X-Fi, which is hooked up via 3 analogs to the DTS-610, which then passes the signal to my speakers via a digital coax. This allows me to have true 5.1 digital audio. My question is, if i want to rip non-commercial dvd-audio discs and keep the 5.1 channel integrity, what are my options, and what are all the available formats for multichannel audio (is it just wav and ac3?) Furthermore once i have (presumably) 5.1 channel audio files on my pc, what are possible ways (if any) to change formats to another 5.1 format? Can programs like audacity be used to record all 5.1 channels of audio through the DTS? (in .WAV?)

---I know its probably a lot of newb questions, but ive been looking all over the forums and cannot find anything relative to these specific issues.
