One more cross platform ressource hog like all the mozilla stuff which runs as quick as a java applet? No, thanks.

You seem to write quite intelligent posts lately. Usually i dont care, but currently i'm in the mood for a bit of debunking:

For your information, the point of XULRunner is to fix just what you describe: the longterm-plan is to base firefox, thunderbird, sunbird, songbird etc - all on XULRunner - instead of each of those apps duping a large amount of code. Thus, in the long run, a single one of those apps may seem heavyweight, but running two or more of such apps would be less so, because they can share a common codebase.

Thanks for your arrogance and information. This is just lack of knowledge in a certain case. But btw, I do not like sharing techniques like .net or java. Its as simple as that.

FYI, you may have overseen:

Oh, and - raising minimum bitrates is really cool - especially with tracks which have 1min of silence in them - that was really cool when i encountered it - 1min of high-quality digital silence encoded at 192kbit - just to be on the safe side of course *eyeroll*.

-F  strictly enforce the -b option

This is mainly for use with hardware players that do not support low bitrate mp3.

Without this option, the minimum bitrate will be ignored for passages of analog silence, ie when the music level is below the absolute threshold of human hearing (ATH).
