I have looked at using EAC and MAREO to encode my albums to FLAC and MP3; however, the process seems complex (for a newbie)...

The description for the MAREO .ini file creation isn't the greatest...

Does anyone have a copy of an .ini file that they are using for MAREO to successfully encode to MP3 (LAME) and FLAC at the same time?

MAREO is currently at beta 2 of 3.0. It is working perfectly as far as i'm concerned, and it should be almost no diference with the "3.0" final. The new INI, imho, is more self-explanatory than the 2.x version. Take a look at MAREO 2.x thread.
