just an idea i've had.

say you have foobar associated with audio CDs, and you don't have the autoplay feature disabled in any way. when you insert a CD, foobar loads, and overwrites your last used playlist (meaning you have to rebuild it from scrath presuming you have no backup).

now, would there perchance be a plugin to prevent this? ie. rather than it overwriting the last-used playlist, sending the tracks to a playlist specified in preferences, such as "AudioCD (D:)". and perhaps an option to load the CD but not play until either the user asks it to, or the previous track has finished (if you happen to already have foobar running).

i havn't seen a plugin like this anywhere, and don't have a clue as to how to make one. was just an idea wink.gif

You can set a default playlist already, that is used whenever you doubleclick files in Explorer etc. But that isn't the same thing. I would probably appreciate a plugin like this.

I don't use any autorun on my system...but I would think that it should behave as if it's coming from the commnad line... does the option to specify what playlist to use under general options change this behavior at all?...

I would actually prefer if have the same behavior as command line...

ah yes, that works. strange, it never worked before.
would be nice if it had some of the features i mentioned, but nothing's perfect i guess.

cheers for the help.
