Hi there

Anyone had experiences with the above error? (and a solution!)

I have set EAC to auto-access freedb upon loading a CD and when it can't connect EAC seems to 'save' the CD information as unknown and therefore cannot match it with freedb - permanently. I have tried deleting the CD track info and re-booting etc but to no avail...

It only seems to occur when I am not connected to the internet, and I forget to connect whilst loading a new CD to rip to MP3 in EAC.

many thanks!

Manually, or thru the menu command: "Database > Clear Actual CD Information" ?
Will it not let you use: "Database > Get CD Information From > Remote freedb (Alt + G)" ?

If not, I suppose you could delete CDDB.dat, tho that would erase all info for all discs you had previously scanned.

Thanks for your help, Cosmo. I now think I have been pressing alt+U instead of alt+G! No wonder EAC/freedb didn't work! oops!
Sorry to waste your time. I appreciated your input.
