I noticed that foobar2000 0.9 beta 14 can't properly handle aac files. Bitrate isn't recognized, there's no time indication, seeking is forbidden. Noticed on AAC [HE + PS] files created with:
- Winamp 5.2 b440 encoder (directly as AAC file)
- Nero Digital encoder (MP4 container) extracted to AAC with foobar2000 0.83.

foobar2000 0.83 has no problem with both files. Winamp 5.2 is also fine.

For conveniance I uploaded a short sample (created with Winamp): here.

Once wrapped into MP4 container (via fb2k 0.83) everything becomes fine with these files.

AAC seeking / bitrate display is not and will not be supported for performance/accuracy reasons. Raw AAC is deprecated, please use MP4 instead.

And what about time indication?
Peter
It's simply impossible to reliably detect ADTS AAC length without walking entire file (which from what I remember 0.8.3 did), which would drastically slow down the process of adding files to playlist.

So it's not a bug. Thanks smile.gif

N.B. I'm only using *.aac file for testing purpose. MP4 container would have my preference if I have to use AAC fileformat.
