Hi. I have a bunch of MP3s and an iAudio X5 that is capable of displaying lyrics in the lrc format. However, I don't know where I can download some lrc files. Are there any sites that provide you with lrc files. Are there any winamp/foobar plugins that automatically download lrc files given the MP3s? Thanks.

or else... is there a way of creating a .lrc file from a text file? adding a timestamp, I mean

You can use MiniLyrics. It can read a .txt file, save as .lrc file, and most beautifully, it can add timestamps into the .lrc file, with your assistance, of course (i.e. just press a button when the line of lyrics is supposed to pop up).
I've been using it to convert my .txt files into .lrc files.
Note: I've used MiniLyrics with WinAmp only, not with foobar2000.

You could try Zingamp. It's a plugin for Winamp, but it has an LRC-editor (it's freeware):
