Hello,

I've just started encoding oggs on my mac and I think they sound better than the LAME mp3's I was making.

The only interface I can find that works on my system (10.2.8) is an old version of MacAmpLite. OggDrop won't seem to open on my computer.

It seems that MacAmp is using V.1 dated July 2002. Is there a way to insert a newer version of Vorbis into this program?

I'm not exactly computer savvy, I don't know how to use the terminal, so the command line version is way beyond me I'm afraid. I'd just like an easy user interface with a more recent version of Vorbis on it.

Is this possible?

I thank you kindly in advance for any tips. I've been scanning the forums here and you guys have given me tons of useful information!

Thanks. smile.gif

That's a TOS #8 violation for future reference. It's not big deal though, since this is your first time posting here.

That depends. I am not sure exactly how OS/2 works, but if either of the application can accept a command line utility as input then it would be possible. The July 2002 release is 1.0. You are interested in 1.1.2. I am not familiar with MacAmpLite, but OggDrop does have a specific forum dedicated to those questions.
