Winamp & WMP are driving me nuts, I download a lot of jazz and old standards with lots and lots of covers. So I listen to them all, deleting most and keeping only my favorite. So then I want to move the ones I've kept to a permanent directory. At this point I'm f***ed with Winamp & WMP, they just won't do it and doing it by hand with Windows Explorer is frought with problems.
I've been looking everywhere for a Winamp plugin that will move files, with no success. But today I noticed that RealPlayer has the copacity to move files. Hurray!! I thought, I'm a RealPlayer convert, until I tried to load a playlist. RealPlayer said, duh, wot??? If you open a WPL it opens WMP to play it. If you open an M3U, it only opens the first file, and it only writes RealPlayer format playlists, RMPs. Argghhh...
So I was looking at the polls and noticed that Foobar2000 is the most popluar player around here. So I loaded that up. Right away it looked too sparce. Wheres the LIBRARY?? How do Foobar2000 users organize their music without a library???!! Also, Foobar keeps poping up with stupid messages about resyncing. Just shutup and do it already!
At this point, it looks like I'll just go with RealPlayer to move files around and then use Winamp the rest of the time and there is no one player that will do what I want.
This seems like utter stupidity to me, this is such simple and basic functionality. Am I missing something?
