Will foobar2000 0.9 support any metadata fields from cue sheets, i.e. common fields (FILE, TITLE, FLAGS etc.) and additional fields in REM tags? I think this would be handy but, from my experience so far, not all of the 'standard' fields and only some of the more common additional fields - such as GENRE and YEAR - are recognised.

Thanks for your information.

Can any developer offer an insight?

Of course, by "any", I mean any at all. Support from my experience seemed fairly comprehensive but, as I have mentioned, only the main standard fields and the more common REM fields (as used by EAC) are used in the metadata window. Anyway, info is appreciated.

it would be cool to be able to use more tags in cue sheets
i just thought of the same thing yesterday when i got freedb information for a cue sheet that refers to a single file. it stored all the information in the database but when i told foobar to reload it from files they just disappeared.
i was using 0.8.3 though just tried how the release candidate behaves:
it doesn't even store the data in the database, it gets deleted right away, without a warning. a warning might not be necessary for the freedb masstagger, but when you use the properties window to add a new field, you will see a progress bar, the field you created disappears, the information is lost and you don't get an error message.
i think that behavior should change, i would prefer to make it possible to save more data to cue sheets, but they'll propably be non standard or something, i don't know.

Well, support for all 'official' (wherever the cue standard is taken from) fields (non-REM), and any REM fields, would probably be very useful. Because, as I understand, foobar2000 doesn't support all standard fields or all REM statements.
