As per the title, does anyone have any thoughts or experiences useful in comparing the Edirol UA-1EX to the M-Audio Transit? Same price and roughly similar features from two respected companies. Is there something that should sway me quality-wise? The UA-1EX looks to be a bit more comprehensive, its extra connectivity could prove useful.
Piffles
I haven't used those products. I have an M-Audio Fast Track Pro and I'm very happy with it.

From here and looking at the specifications of both products, the Edirol looks like the best bet because it has cinch in/out whereas the M-Audio has these flimsy, unreliable 1/8 inch jacks. But the Edirol has a 1/8 inch jack for the headphone too....

However, Edirol are not particularly famous for making great drivers or good manuals. M-Audio, on the other hand, are reputed to be very reliable for support and software.

It's your call I guess, but in your position, I'd risk it and go for the Edirol.
