I was trying to see if I could convert my music library to an additional format using the convertor. I saw no option to preserve directory structure so I tried setting up a filename like

%album artist%\%album%\%tracknumber%. %title%

When using "convert to..." the path stuff is discarded and all that remains is the tracknumber and title. Curiously if you select "convert to same directory" the specificed path information does get written.

Whatever the intended behavior, there is an inconsistency between "convert to..." and "convert to same directory".

Were you testing with only one file? If so, try with more than one.

Yes, if you are converting a single file only, the paths are currently ignored and you are instead asked where to place it.

Yep, my bad. I was only converting one file to test the string I entered. I did not expect a single conversion to generate differently than a multiple conversion with respect to the filename string I entered.
