I recently made the mistake of installing the dell recommended crystal CD4205 drivers for that onboard audio card in my Latitude C840. The line-in option disappeared! How inconvenient.
Then I stumbled across the post by godzilla 525 that says:

I've looked hard for these intel drivers but to no avail. Can anyone help me find them as I would truly like my line-in back...
