hi guys.

i have a couple of live albums that unfortunately have the 2 second 'countdown' gap between each song. Is it possible to remove this gap with EAC so that the album becomes 'seamless' again? hope you can help!

Enable the following checkbox, that's all smile.gif
EAC > EAC Options... > Delete leading and trailing silent blocks

You could rip the cd as usual with EAC then just remove the gaps using Feurio or something similar.

I believe that is what you are trying to do (i think) tongue.gif

Other than that you could rip the whole cd to 1 wav file using EAC then remove the gaps with Cooledit, but that would take a while so i think the first option is better.

Hope it helps.

I'm not sure the delete digital silence would work perfectly for this, so here's a suggestion you might like to try if that doesn't work:

In EAC, click on "Action, Detect Gaps", then click "Action, Leave Out Gaps" and rip the CD. If I'm not mistaken, that should do what you want.

Do you mean that your CDs are burned in Track At Once ? With 2 second silence inserted ?

Well, if it's Nero's fault, and the CD was burn in DAO, and if the Nero used was above 5.5.7.8 included, any of the methods above will work.
If the CD was burned in TAO, or with a buggy Nero prior to 5.5.7.8, some data was lost, and you can't join perfectly the tracks. Manual editing in WaveLab or Samplitude, crossfading the tracks, is then the solution to make it sound perfect again.
