I have a PC that's as tiny as you can get. It has only 2 PCI lots and 1 ISA slot. I have a vid card in the upper PCI slot which makes the ISA slot unreachable (heatsink on the vid card) and so I have one PCI slot under that vid card free where I want to put a soundcard.

The problem is that the case is so compact that the cpu fan limits the cards length, and the ram limits it's width

I've been searching and searching for a soundcard that would do the job, but I'm pretty lost.

Anyone have any recommendations.

My uses are basically just gaming, mp3 playing, and I want/need an input for my bass amp so I can practice in silence through the computer.

Live 24 bit is narrower then other cards but lenght is the same
Alternatively you could get any USB card

I was about to say the same about the SB Live! 24bit...

Maybe there are some no-name OEM cards that are low-profile too, but if the SB Live! 24b fits into your case then I'd prefer it over such a card.

I ended up ordering this card when I did a search on the forums (sorry for not searching before posting, I should have known better, and someone should have yelled at me for it)

Hope it ends up fitting because if it does I will be *very* happy with my new system
