When you open EAC, it tells you which Adapter your drive uses. (It's in the pulldown box, the same one that shows your drive name).

For most people it's Adapter 0 or 1. I've created a special .CFG file for Adapter 0, 1 and 2 but I haven't found anyone who uses Adapter 3.

If you have a drive that uses Adapter 3, I would definitely appreciate the following:

Download my Adapter 1 .CFG profile for EAC.

.CFG]http://www.chrismyden.com/nuke/modules/MP3...n[Adapter1].CFG

In EAC, switch to the drive that is using Adapter 3.

Load the MP3byMyden[Adapter1].CFG profile in EAC.

Go to EAC -> Drive Options -> Extraction Method

- Make sure secure mode is selected
- Make sure the first two checkboxes below Secure Mode are selected
- The third checkbox should not be selected

Click on the 'Drive' tab

- Change the read command to MMC1

Click OK

Save the .CFG profile as MP3byMyden[Adapter3].CFG

Send it to Chris@chrismyden.com

I would *really* appreciate anyone taking the time to do this! Thanks!

hrm...

i thought "adapter" was what ide channel your drive was on

0 = primary
1 = secondary

so i guess i don't see how even adapter 2 is possible let alone 3 ?

are people putting extra ide channel pci slots in their comps? that seems unnecessary

...hrm, i guess if ya have ide devices AND a scsi adapter the scsi may be adapter 3? hrmmm

please someone enlighten me smile.gif

Yep, you hit the nail on the head.

Don't forget USB (external) drives as well.
