Hello, I am looking to create a basic home studio to record some songs with my band. I have a Powerbook G4 (which I would like to use) but I also have a PC. I don't really know where to start. I had a look at this: http://www.engadget.com/2005/02/08/how-to-...cording-studio/

But I think I would prefer to buy the midi keyboard seperately.

What I would quite like though, is a couple more audio inputs so that I could close mic bass drum and snare drum individually and have cymbals and other drums mic'd with the other two inputs. I couldn't really do this on the Miglia, but I can't find anything in between that and high end professional equipment.

Anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to spend more than £300 and preferably a lot less than that
