hi, all.
I am looking for a mp3 fixed point encoder for arm9. I tried shine mp3 (which
located in http://www.rjamorim.com/rrw/shine.html, thanks to Rafael Urbanetz and Roberto Amorim) but it seems having a little problem. The shinefixed.zip contains
two assemble files, mult.s and mult_SA.s, neither can be assembled in the linux
environment. And I dont know why it declares that the program uses fixed point
algorithm but there are type 'double' and functions 'pow', 'log' used.
At last, I tried to get the official web site on mp3-tech.org, but I dont know why
I cant visit it. I am located in China.
Could anybody give me a hint on where to find the fixed point mp3 encoder? Thanks a lot.

Thanks for reading!

I know rockbox uses the MAD decoder, and rockbox runs on integer only cores. I don't know anything about MAD, but it might work for you.
xmixahlx
the MAD decoder isn't very good at encoding anything...

anyways, shine will be your best bet - you can get in contact with the rockbox devs who have put more work into the shine encoder here:

Hi Mike:
Thanks for your reply, but as far as I know, the MAD lib doesnt provide a module for encoding.

Hi, xmixahlx:
Thanks for your reply.
Now I think the only acquirable source suitable for me is shine mp3, but the problem is I cant connect to www.mp3-tech.org to download the Shine mp3 source. Would you do me a favor to download it(the latest version on win32 and linux if exists) and send to longshuai@datang.com ? I would deeply appreciate your kindness.
