The problem appears when I choose the sound through ASIO: if I press Preview for any DX plugin - SoundForge stops responding, although mouse right click shows menu. Pushing on Stop button gives nothing, CPU usage is 100%, sound is absent. It's only possible to close Forge through CTRL-ALT-DEL. sad.gif

Sound - M-Audio Revolution 5.1
SoundForge - v8.0b Eng
Windows XP Pro SP2 Eng

In general through ASIO Forge plays sound.
Where's bug? Drivers (only one version is possible, as I found) or Sony's 'crooked' ASIO support?

It's stupid not to use ASIO when sound card support it! More so I've tired of Windows Classic Wave driver which makes meters in plugins play with delays, i.e. they shows not what is really playing!

HELP!!

"SoundForge - v8.0b Eng" - there was the trouble!

It was a bug in 8.0b fixed in new 8.0c (8.0d is now available..)

What is strange to me: doesn't anyone use SoundForge 8.0b and ASIO? huh.gif
