Full Version: WV w\embedded Cue and unpacked Wav - different MD5

Just checked it again - MD5 hash stored inside .Wv-file is different from the one the unpacked WAV has (checked with MD5Summer)...
is this normal?..
since internal cue is lost, perhaps, they should be different?..
however, the length is just the same...

WavPack stores the md5sum of the raw audio; you're comparing it to a wav file (i.e. with headers), which isn't right. Generate a raw pcm file with wvunpack -r, and compare the md5sum of that file to the value in the wavpack file - they'll match.
