Did you guys created anything to identify the queued files? Since there still isn't a window or something similar showing what's coming next, like the Temple plugin (Temporary Playlist/Enqueue Control) did, can't you create a var that tells what's current the position of the song in the queue? Would be much appreciated...

People will thank you...

What you need is
Playback queue viewer from foosion's
Stable components package.

downloaded and installed the foo_pqview.dll
the fb2k doesn't even list it as a component... ;\
in any way, having vars for the queue would be great ;~~

And what about
Playback -> Playback queue viewer in main menu?...

This plugin allows you to choose playlist which will show enqueued files. IMHO this is better solution than having vars.

having vars for it it's just useful... mark all the mp3 that are in queue just makes things more clear...
having to change playlists to see what's going on and middle-clicking in the dark is kinda hard...
even winamp marks the queued songs ;\
yeah, i agree ... it should be possible to have queue information available for TAGZ
I'm glad I'm not the only one who'd like to see this feature.
Imagine Having like: "[3] Song title" in columns UI. Plus a variable like that would give us the ability to change the background for songs in the playback queue. Now that would be downright snazzy.

By the way. Where can I view my queued Items? Couldn't find an option.

It'd also be nice because the user could get immediate visual feedback (if you're new to the command, it may appear as though nothing happened).

Playback -> Playback Queue Viewer -> then you have to select playlist that will show queued items.

I just found
Playback queue viewer v1.0 (foo_pqview, new for beta 11) on foosions page. After installing it I however couldn't start the "Playback Queue Viewer" (had tried it earlier). Installing
foo_common did the trick.
It isn't noted anywhere - is it?
edit: reading foosion's page again revealed this:
foo_common, required by foo_pqview

no wonder why this was moved to Support...
I'd really like some way to identify queued songs too.

This is exactly what I would like to see implemented. I'm surprised no-one else has requested it.

I don't see any Playback Queue Viewer in Playback submenu... I even checked in the Found Components panel and there is no foo_pqview.dll loaded.

And yes I installed foo_common.dll and it is detected
Anyone have a clue?

The current version of foo_pqview does not add an entry that can be viewed in Preferences > Components, so you want see the DLL there. However, the main menu command (Playback/Playback queue viewer) should definitely appear, if you have foo_pqview.dll installed.

Ow! Thanks, I should have guessed looking for it in main menu, not preferences. Great design and extremely usable thing, thanks, foosion ;-)
Is there any developer out there with interest in making this a reality? foosion? musicmusic? I guess musicmusic has to make the variables available?

This would have to be implemented in the core or in the playlist view. It cannot be added in another way.
We've all got our fingers crossed for the feature to pop up in the next build. I know it irks a lot of users when they have no visual confirmation of their input.
Plus I can't wait to start playing with $blend to show the position in the playback queue

iŽd like that too. what strikes me is that the queue-function simply doesnt work for me, i queue an item, mark another one and the marked one is going to be played after my current song finished.
