I did the EAC DAEQuality test as explained on the EAC homepage and here's what I got for the LTR-48246S (SS0E).

The log file shows this -
Errors total Num : 761009
Errors (Loudness) Num : 225992 - Avg : -82.9 dB(A) - Max : -40.7 dB(A)
Error Muting Num : 1378 - Avg : 1.0 Samples - Max : 2 Samples
Skips Num : 0 - Avg : 0.0 Samples - Max : 0 Samples

Total Test Result : 76.0 points (of 100.0 maximum)

I'd imagine these results are "average" at best as compared to some better drives ?

..and this is the image from the "C2 extract". Looks like C2 error reporting is one area where this drive really does not have a problem. I did the same c2 test with lower speed (12x) and the small blue spike in the last graph was gone too.

Look. Since everybody makes the test CD themselves you cannot compare with others. You can only compare drives if you use the same CD. Using my own disc, this should not be this bad. However I have very good results with Liteon. In fact I swear by Liteon as a result.
