Having a problem with my secretary's Philips Transcription software not recognizing Olympus Audio Digital Recorder files. Have compressed a 39 MB file down to 6.89 so I can e-mail it to her. She can listen to it on her computer, but her transcription hardware from Philips won't recognize or read the file so she can stop, backup and replay the recording with her foot pedal. In compressing the Olympus file, it converts to Microsoft Media Player file. According to Philips specs, they utilize a DSS (?) file format. ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN CONVERT my audio file into this format? Part of the problem is that I am not a computer techie and am becoming more frustrated as one part of the problem gets solved, only to find another problem to overcome.
