Hi,

I encoded several Wave Files with Razorlame 1.15 and Lame 3.92 today. One file seems to be encoded incorrect:

Command: D:\EasyLAME\lame.exe --alt-preset standard "I:\Waves\Eve - Scorpion\04 - Let Me Blow Ya Mind.wav" "I:\Waves\Eve - Scorpion\04 - Let Me Blow Ya Mind.mp3"
LAME version 3.92 MMX (http://www.mp3dev.org/)
CPU features: i387, MMX (ASM used), 3DNow! (ASM used), SIMD
Using polyphase lowpass filter, transition band: 18671 Hz - 19205 Hz
Encoding I:\Waves\Eve - Scorpion\04 - Let Me Blow Ya Mind.wav
to I:\Waves\Eve - Scorpion\04 - Let Me Blow Ya Mind.mp3
Encoding as 44.1 kHz VBR(q=2) j-stereo MPEG-1 Layer III (ca. 7.3x) qval=2
average: 175.8 kbps LR: 1906 (21.63%) MS: 6906 (78.37%)

Looks like a perfect APS histogram to me ... wink.gif ... if I remember right, silence is encoded at 32 kBps ... maybe the 40 kBps blocks are significant tones below the ATH or something ... unsure.gif

32kbps is for total digital silence.
If there is only 1 channel with digital silence, the block will be encoded with a bigger block than 32kbps, but lower than the limit you specified, as it includes digital silence.

A frame is made of 2 granules. The same scheme applies if only 1 granule is digital silence.
