I think it would probably need a new UI, seeing as columnsui isn't built for it.

Something like inserted rows couldn't be too hard though.

It would mean single column layouts, IE

Artist
Album
01 - Track
02 - Track
03 - Track

which would be uber for space.

That'd look intense with some sort of emacs based windows colour scheme.

How the heck are you guys adding images like that? I'm assuming it's a clever use of the album art component?

Albumart automatically searches from Foobar's directory (like C:\program files\foobar 2000\), so you can put in the sources list following, for example:

CODE
otsikko\otsikkoTyhja.png

And it shows that png picture which is in C:\program files\foobar 2000\otsikko\otsikkoTyhja.png , for example tongue.gif The current version of columns_ui (or some other stuff) leaves gray borders (or whatever is your Windows' default 3d object color)between different window parts, so you have to design the layout so they will be hidden, like in that picture posted above tongue.gif

Mine looks like this: http://www.kotiposti.net/ihmemies/roina/foobar5.png - you can see the borders there. They wouldn't be visible without those side bars, but I like them more than I hate the borders biggrin.gif

here is mine, very simple for the moment
Twaize
Here is my very first foobar2000 config, I know it is nothing fancy or special, but it does the job; but even though being simple, it has taken large quantities of time to make, and a lot of help from the good people of HA;
So thank you very much

Is a plugin to change the window appearance of foobar feasible?

I know Windowblinds can do application-specific window style changes, can a plugin be programmed to do the same thing?

And here we have proof that smaller foos look better than full-screen ones. Or maybe is the wallpaper-foo combination. I also like the progress bar in the status bar.

Too bad I need LOTS of room for the playlist and albumlist.

You could put wallpapers on the actual walls. That you could look at them when an application window is maximized or even when the computer is turned off. wink.gif

can you tell me what visual style do you use please ?
kanak
Hi all

This is what i'm working on. i'm trying to make an fcs that will make a decent looking "theme" based on one color seed. Right now, this "prototype" accepts one color (hsl values), and transforms those colors to make the theme.

Here's what it came up with when i supplied the color: H: 139, S: 106, L: 220

Looks pretty decent, but i'm no artist and i'd appreciate if someone could tweak it and make it look better.

Download Link

PS: right now it's just a "prototype" so most of the colums are designed for my quirks like a 3 pt rating system, album rating, track pick and all that.

after it looks "good enough", i'll modify it to make it suitable for public consumption biggrin.gif

The orange clock is ClocX, freeware click-through transparent clock, not a part of foobar2000 heheh.

Not visible: Blue highlighting bar.

All fonts are Arial Unicode MS, except LED display (Courier New).

Hi everyone. My first theme for foobar...

Just started about a week ago when I came across Brother John's scripting tutorial and decided to make my own. It's still a work in progress, but so far I'm happy with it. I'm planning to clean up the code a bit more, and then I'll release the FCS config file for anyone that wants to use/modify it.
