You use a Windings-Font?

It seems you chose a status bar font like windings or what ever.
You can choose another one under: Preferences - Display - Columns UI - Status bar / Systray - Status bar font

Looks like you've used a symbol font.

I'd say the green needs to be different, and I'd use a darker FCS.

I'd also like to point out that the VS isn't completely black - it's like RGB(26,26,26) or something IIRC, if you made your WP a tad lighter it would match up perfect.

My other Problem is, if i make the 3D objects Black, i can´t see anything any more, no rightklick menu,no menu in Foobar etc...What can i do?

Thanx to <<Lorraine>> I was able to change my playlist switcher to the font I really wanted to use. After doing that I started fooling around with the padding of all may panels and was able to reduce the over all size of my foo. The only thing I might want to change are the buttons but otherwise I think this will be the way it looks for awhile

The best way to do a black visualstyle is using a 3DCC colour changer and the windows classic scheme. Like JASMiN.

Reason for this is that just playing around with the colours in the appearance settings generally looks bad.

This way you can control pretty much everything.


The test thing I did uses the same visual style as you're using, and just has a borderless columnsui playlist(and that is all).

One thing I can't get is how people spent time making their foo look nice then stick with the same, bloated, ugly windows default visualstyles :/

Who I stole the ideas from is not too hard to figure out.

Oh, and thanks to, I think it was, tool++ for having Pelican playing. Fell in love with them.

CepiPerez, fantastic look, how did you get the images surrounding the album art? I'm guessing it's a bunch of panels displaying various jpegs or gifs, which panel do you use?

I think he used the Albumart panel it´s the only way to display pictures in Foobar.

Sorry to sound like such a moron here, but I had foobar 2k looking the way I wanted it before with the old version (0.8.3)

Now I just installed the new version and uh-oh! The playlists are now tabs at the top, and there's virtually no control over the settings the way the old version was. What can I do to fix this?

Yeah, it seems like the only real viable option. I attempted to just create the surronding pictures in groups, and then loading them as buttons then as album art specific to just one folder. It just doesn't go seemingless together. Still have gaps.

I guess, I can figure out something useing Adobe to perform an action on all my album art by itself. Anyone know if you can have Adobe PS search for files, then perform an Action. *wonders off to check*

Get the latest columns UI, then mess around with the layout tree - change the base to a splitter then you can start messing with things.

i'm glad you like it:). Some formatting strings belong to Azrael's FCS + my work. Buttons ripped from iTunes skin (don't remember which one), also quicksearch came from original Itunes skin.

You can do it by different ways..

Usually you can right-click on the lines between the panels and select "lock panel"
But if you can't find this line, or it doesn't want to be selected, which can happen some times.
Then you can go into preferences in this spot:
Display >> columns UI >> Layout

There you can click the different panels and click "locked".
Then they should stay in place.

But don't set it to all the panels, since you still want the columns playlist and the playlist switcher to expand when you resize the window

Nice to see a lot of well done set ups here and there, wish I could delve into the language a bit more to get into the real spirit. Until then it's great to see some inspiring scripts, and snag a few here and there (including some nice fonts, ooo, ahh).
