actually my current config is much less overwhelming than what i used for .8 (screenshots here and here), not to mention that back than i run foobar mostly maximized. don't forget that the left part is hidden by default and i did it just as an experiment ...


1. it's the same font. it has superscript / subscript numerals, so i do simple $replace(number,0,sub0,...).
2. i use autohotkey script for this - thred

4. the icon + id3v1, id3v2, ape, ogg + rating, 6 album art panels in total. are you sure you're using latest versions of columns_ui and album art (the one with configuration in separate dialog, not foobar's preferences)? you can add multiple panels in the layout editor ...

my variaton of the half life 2 theme, you can get it here (i used the 'flat' substyle). too bad that many windows programs do not work with dark styles very well ...


ah, i see ... i show album, artist and title. when these three are over certain length limit, i skip the album. then of course, i could use scrolling of the 'new' track info panel, but i dont, i simly wrap the rest. unfortunely we can't measure text's width (either in pixels or percentage of the rendering context's width).


thank you. are you referring to the playlist, or that main trackinfo panel bellow it? if to the playlist, then it doesn't look like this normally, the left part is sort of 'sidebar', so the playlist view spans the whole width. not to mention that i make foobar's window smaller for taking screenshots (so i can post them directly 'inline').

heres my latest one. im trying to go for the more compact look. I cant seem to get things perfectly. Im still missing a few on screen options that i like to have but i may make a few changes.

edit: about pic, sry i usually do that but i was in a rush. and i always use alt+prntscrn, its funny how i can still see the borders of my background etc....i think is my video card

TIP: Alt+PrintScreen will copy just your foobar to the clipboard so you dont have to cut it out of your desktop or post your entire desktop.

Also, please use thumbnails for your screenshots so we all dont have to wait forever for the page to load, and large images quickly get annoying when people start pyramid quotes. ImageShack makes it easy, they even provide you with a line of code you can paste into your forum post.

My Newest Style, shows both front and back album covers.

Alt + PrintScreen is enough. no need for ctrl

That bar is made by a small programm which is called Samurize
At my screenshot you see it "deflated" by clicking on the icons, dropdown lists appear under the bar where I can select i.e. my drives.
Samurize is like foobar very customizable. It has an WYSIWYG editor and can do a lot more than you see in my post.

okay just tweaked a bit

1) playlist drop is in the browser
2) visualization
3) album column modded a bit
4) added now playing button(dont know about u guys but i love seeing the transition between ablum art etc.)


im trying to think of a creative playlist code that kinda resembles mazy's(but just less colorful). i still like to see the artist on every single line for one reason or another.

Try out terrestrial's foo_uie_trackinfo_mod from this thread, it can not only change color but also change fonts, add boldface, italics, shadow, etc. And some users create interesting effects (like this posting for instance).

Notes of caution:

• The syntax has some differences from the (official) foo_uie_trackinfo
• As of this posting, it is still a work-in-progress; bugs are expected
• Download the foo_uie_trackinfo_mod.dll not the foo_uie_trackinfo of the first posting of the thread. First post of thread has been modified to be more in-line with new plugin release threads

It is only possible to remove them, if you change the background color of the panels to the color of the borders, or change the bordercolor into the background color.

Right-click on desktop / Perferences / the second from right (display?view?) / More Options (i don´t know how it is in english) / 3D Objects , there you can change the bordercolor.
