I have downloaded Foobar 0.9 and am still trying to configure it properly - which is time-consuming since some of the items work differently from Foobar 0.83.

Anyway, I need help on formatting Album List Panel under Columns UI. Is it possible to change the colour background of selected items inside Album List Panel?? I have been searching high and low for it but can't see to place it.

A bit updated from my previous setup (mostly the colours)

My latest, bits and pieces snatched from various sources, along with some strings of my own.

Here's another update to the setup i posted yesterday. I'm happy with it now and will keep it for some weeks. I'm not a fan of transparency but it works pretty good here for me. Adds some "lightness(?)" to the appearing, actually i like it alot.

Probably a dumb question, but how'd you get the buttons to center like that?

Weird.. I use calibri as my playlist font, but it doesnt look like that. It looks like the mac font (macgrande or something), but maybe its just the blur on the screenshot...

My new setup. I need to get a better track info script but it's at about where I like it.

I can explain. The no color is because the configuration can't tell how large your album is. I modified Habla's configuration so that smaller albums (i.e. 1, 2, 3 tracks) would have smaller information boxes on the left. To make it work, though, you'll need your tracks to have a TOTALTRACKS tag. If the album has 10 tracks, each of them should have a tag TOTALTRACKS = 10. It should show up properly after that.

The question mark is because I like to display the media the album is on next to the album title, i.e. 12", cassette (if it's a CD I don't display anything.) If you want that to work your tracks will have to have a MEDIA tag which will be displayed as such. If you're not interested in it at all, you can change the code, or you can download this version.

uses azreal with colour scheme 16 and track info, browser and albumart panels.

Quiet happy with it now... had to change the formatting strings to use both %play_count% and %play_counter% but everything seems to be displaying properly now.

Some constructive criticism, I think it would look nicer if the playlist switcher and the track info panels had the same width, and you could also position the seekbar to match the width of the playlist and visualization.

i finally found a few minutes to look a bit into 0.9. i played around with this'n'that configuration from this thread.

am i correct that .fcs files do not contain layout information and that the layout itself cannot be im or- exported? not sure if i'm missing something or simply check out the wrong files.

i tried to find something valuable in this regard but eh, the search gives me gazillions of answers... sorry.

I'm amazed by the setups I'm looking at in this thread. Mine is but a downloadable fcs with a few plugins and some quick layouting

I feel like an idiot posting this, but a lot of these configs have a really beautiful looking "now playing" horizontal box that goes above or below their playlist. I'm assuming that this is just a trackinfo panel with minimal information (artist, song, album), but I was wondering what fonts everyone used and if people could give me any other information for how to make a simple track info panel that looks that slick.

Then it's just the $puts(normal,000000) variable in your columns_ui globals. Looks like you're using azrael, so find your color scheme and look for that variable under Backgrounds. Change it to look like mine and voiala, blackness.

there is an option use global variable for playlist or something like this. change that.

Yep, did it all still nothing but pure blinding whitness. And no my fcs is called blackandwhite or something of that sort done by someone on here. forgot their name. any more suggestions?


EDIT: There is no $put(normal) in the coding whatsoever. Its funny though, ive seen people with exact same UI as me but they got theres black. Makes me jealous.
