yes! i made it. after a whole lot of research and trying, i finally managed to get a background image to my group item. (i dont know crap about coding yet...)

@tool++: i hope you will prove me wrong here... but i claim that neither the image nor the code to get it to work can be found in your current uploads. im not thinking that i could demand anyhting from you. but you said its there and i think its not. (no offense!)

ANYWAY... here is my newest layout for foobar with some minor changes:

id also like to thank the author of the single column playist for fixing the problem i mentioned earlier. tracks will now show up in the center of the playlist!

excuse me but my foobar cant seem to read the referenced images in my code.

ex: C:\Program Files\foobar2000\images is where my images are sorted bbut i get nothing. do i need some kind of PNG DLL or something?

Update of my HTPC layout (last version):

All basic functions can be accessed via remote control.
I still want to get rid of the standard playlist-switcher but I could not find any appropriate replacement.
Tracknumber color indicates rating, the vertical line next to it hotness.
The trackinfo panel displays rating, mood and playback progress in its 3rd line.

Should make it a bit easier for the ones that do not wish to mess with numbers. Was also thinking you could, maybe divide the %_width% by half, then use that number to center it vertically.

This may have been discussed previously, but what exactly is the syntax for the imageabs2 command?

Also, how could I do the division you are describing here? I could not get any variable handling or opperators to work within the single column playlist code.

For the trackinfo, it says "Played ? times" for all of my songs. How can i get it to display the right number?

Well I was inspired by eejadx's skin so I decided to make my own, this is what I have so far (4 hours of work):

Everything in the bottom trackinfo panel works except for the visualization and the volume slider.

Does anyone know what font Windows Media Player 11 uses in the library/playlist area?

I decided to crunch my foobar down to something a bit smaller by moving most of my panels into an auto-hiding tabbed panel. I rather like the results:

--- Visualization Mode --------- Playlist Mode ---

(images animated to show panel with playback controls and trackinfo. tabs include album list, queue manager, console, and a few others)

thats not projcetM right? if it is can u tell me how u got it to work without the glitchy runtime errors....otherwise, could you tell me how u got it? More importantly tho, autohiding comes with the newest version of Ui_tabs right? I think mine is the highest verison.

Yeah, awesome...except I'm a total noob and I can't get anything to work right.

Broken images, plus that totally annoying problem with my text being cut in half because my rows won't change size.

Any chance you could just zip your whole foobar directory and upload it? I know that's kind of lame of me to ask, but I really like this config and don't particularly want to spend all day figuring out how to fix it.
