<3 the default ui. The only reason I don't use it is I keep way too many playlists, which becomes unmanageable with tabs. sad.gif

You can't calculate values from many values at once and display them on one line. What you can do, though, is create a field like ALBUMLENGTH or something, and then display that.

Well is there something u can post to get me going in the right direction? Im not known for starting from scratch here.

I have been searching for a configuration for a long time, would you mind sharing your config????

For you and the other person that liked it: My config and the font I love for condensed views.
Sorry it took like three days to get back with it.

It is really tedious, but if you insist:

1. select all tracks from a given album
2. right click, select Properties
3. copy the value in the bottom left of the window in "Total length"
4. click "Add new" button at the top
5. set field to ALBUM LENGTH or similar
6. click in the value field and paste text
7. click update
8. close properties window
9. Insert [%album_length%] somewhere in your album information column in the display tab

Hey guys first post! Ive been using Foobar for about 2 weeks after switching from Quintessential Player which was never updated. Its pretty much a copy and paste from these forums with modifications for my own taste. smile.gif

Edit: I have just noticed that 6 tracks display that they are 20 odd minutes long and are encoded at 32kpbs, even though they are roughly 3 minutes each and 256 VBR!! the same tracks on iTunes on my Mac does not display this!

Double Edit: I think they're corrupt, guess I'll re-rip the CD.

Thanks wink.gif I received some PMs about it too (but didn't have the time to answer, sorry)

The .fcs, icons and title panel are in the .rar file on this page (fonts are Corbel, Calibri and Consolas): http://destrado.minstrum.net/Computer_1145286932 I will update this page when I have all the plugins I want.

I want to find some new buttons...

For some reason, I can't get it to display the artist-fields correctly. If I add a VA album, it just tags the black field to the left using the first track's ARTIST and just shows the TITLE-field to the right. And, hmm, apparently my Foobar2000 can't read ID3v1 tags properly either.... anyone mind giving me a hand, or at least direct me to where this message won't be considered off-topic?

Oh, and just for clarification, here's a screenshot, http://vibrance.org/foobar2000/screenshot.jpg

Maybe that font doesn't support all Japanese characters? That's my fcs, and I've never experienced that problem.

The problem isn't the font. The problem is that there are two discs going unreconized. This is happening in other parts in the playlist with other albums of different lengths. This has happened in other fcs' and these "meshings" are reappearing in the spots in the list. Anyone have any idea why it would do that?

I have a quick question. Is there any way I can remove the toolbar and playlist tabs at the top in the Default UI. I was able to achieve that look with Columns UI, but I don't want columns lol.

Here is what I had my Columns UI looking like:
Columns

And here is what my Default UI looks like:
Default

EDIT: What's at the bottom of the Columns UI screenshot is my Pretty Popup and has nothing to do with how I want the default UI to look.

EDIT 2: I think I just figured it out. I just configured columns UI to only show two columns, one being everything (%artist% - %album% - %tracknumber% - %title%), then another for the length. It seems to work well. Thanks anyway.

Yeh, no problem. The code is pretty ugly (I had to resort to a couple of hacks to make sure I was getting the right number of dashes in the left column), and the way I tag my files is a little idiosyncratic, but I'm pretty happy with it for now. Going to be awhile before I have the time/energy to try and improve on it, heh. Under Display > Default User Interface, set the font to 8pt Courier New and the playlist text color to (204,204,204). Then paste the below code into title formatting.

Oh, and just for clarification, here's a screenshot, http://vibrance.org/foobar2000/screenshot.jpg

This is an easy fix. I made VA albums detectable by the field VARIOUS with a value of "1".
Select all of your VA albums together, open properties, add new field "VARIOUS", and set the value to "1". Watch as the artist in the black box magically morphs into "Various Artists", and all the song's artists appear in the title column.

Basically it's an easy fix as long as you're keen on modifying the metadata, eh? Then I guess it's a no-go for me, in other words. Shame, because it's a really sweet theme that you've got going on here. Kudos for that, Habla. :-)

I'd sure like to see your playlist code. Any chance?

Just started making foobar look a little more pretty, so it's far from finished. I came up with something that's always different smile.gif I'll work on it to make it a little more ordered (hopefully). Right now, it looks like the cover of a Stereophonics album...

Blake, you might want to look into my FCS, which is a moderately distant offshoot of Habla's. I coded it so that if you have an ALBUM ARTIST tag it will assume that your album is a VA and display each track with artist prepended:

Again, though, you'll need to have your files tagged with ALBUM ARTIST for this to work. There's really no way at all to recognize VA albums successfully if you just have them tagged with ARTIST / TITLE / ALBUM indistinguishably from another album. For example, on your screenshot with that pop ambient album selected you would need to tag that whole group with ALBUM ARTIST = whoever, and then leave each individual ARTIST tag as the track artist.

No. As in that is painful to watch = not pretty. Hope I'm not being too offensive but what you made just looks quite ridicules to me...

Oh, lol. Absolutely! Would look nicer if I could get it fixed on something like pastal shades, but hey, I just made it and I'm no coding genius.
