in order to carry several preferences settings to my fb2k0.9, such as keyboard shortcuts, I need a running foobar 0.83. I uninstalled my 0.83 installation too hasty. This is why I need a 0.83 installer. I was surprised not to find one on the official page. (OTOH, I was not surprised, I can imagine why that is)

This has been discussed in great length in this (now locked) thread. The essence is: 0.8.3 will no longer be hosted on the foobar2000 homepage; you have to find another site that still has it.

The situation "We will not host 0.83" seems to share the same basic thought like some other situations (transcode warning, hard coded rg scan by tags, ...).
